Air Force fighters will have carried out 3,000 war missions for a total of 10,000 flight hours in 2017

The Air Force has published its annual OPEX activity report for 2017. We learn in particular that the Rafale of Operation Chammal have carried out more than 1,500 war missions for 8,000 flight hours and more than 400 munitions drawn. The mirage S 2000s of Operation Barkhane in the Saharan zone carried out approximately the same number of missions, for 3000 flight hours. We also learn that the 5 Reaper drones alone have carried out almost 6,000 hours of flight for less than 400 missions. The Awacs air traffic control, KC135 in-flight refueling, and C130, C160 and A400M transport aircraft were also in high demand.
