Saudi Arabia reportedly develops electromagnetic pulse weapons with help from Ukrainian industry

According to Ukrainian site uprom.info, Ukrainian authorities have allegedly provided assistance to the Saudi defense industry with the aim of developing electromagnetic pulse (non-nuclear) weapons. The development of an airborne EMP type bomb would constitute a pre-strategic weapon which would very significantly strengthen the Kingdom's military position in the Middle East. However, these statements and their scope must be put into perspective, as non-nuclear electromagnetic pulse weapons have very limited power, and therefore limited range and effectiveness.

The Ukrainian Defense industry has been very active for several years, offering many countries, particularly in the Middle East, technology transfers in key areas such as missiles, ballistic missiles, aeronautics and armored vehicles. The country is seeking as much to bring in foreign currency as to negotiate economic and political support against Russia.
