The crisis in Venezuela reveals the new global geopolitical map

The political and economic crisis raging in Venezuela offers a new vision of the alignments of each country in the new global geopolitical map. On the one hand, “hard” regimes, such as Russia, Cuba, Iran support President Maduro. China calls for respecting institutions and not using violence.

Same story from the Europeans, who do not, however, recognize the legitimacy of President Maduro, elected under very dubious conditions. Finally, there is the United States, and its American allies, who recognized interim President Juan Guaido, proclaimed president by the Venezuelan parliament.
