Poland will officially order 32 F35As in the coming days

According to statements by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, made on January 22, Warsaw should formalize the order for 32 F35As from the American manufacturer Lockheed-Martin, with an initial delivery date set at 2024. The amount of the overall contract does not is not officially published to date, but according to the Polish daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, the Polish and American authorities have agreed not to request offset clauses or industrial compensation, contrary to the initial request , making it possible to reduce the deadline as well as the overall cost of the contract which should be around $4 billion (€3.6 billion), including training and support for the maintenance of the devices. The unit price of the F35A in this contract would be less than $80 million , or €72 million.
