The US defense budget could see significant cuts in the coming years

As the United States is now at the heart of the global coronavirus epidemic, many American experts are trying to envision the country's future, particularly in terms of defense. However, most of them agree that the American Department of Defense (DoD) could well suffer severe budget cuts in the coming years, as we mentioned recently .

These analyzes contrast with the current situation, where the federal government is instead injecting several billion dollars into defense industries in order to stimulate this particularly strategic economic sector. However, while the American federal deficit exceeds 4,000 billion dollars, everything suggests that this situation cannot last. Whether for financial or political reasons, American defense will undoubtedly have no other choice but to agree to new budget cuts. If necessary, this could then lead other countries allied to the USA to follow them in this path of budgetary rigor, particularly in Europe.
