La British Army has just issued an order limiting the duration of exposure of armored personnel carriers on board vehicles ranging from 5 hours for certain types of armored vehicles to a maximum of 55 minutes for other models, due to a defect observed in the helmets used by these soldiers, according to British daily The Times. The aim of this precautionary measure is to protect the personnel of the armed forces while the number of hearing injuries to British armor crews has increased significantly. An in-depth investigation is said to be underway to determine whether the helmets used by crews to communicate on board armored vehicles are in fact involved in this case.
